Fun fact: My husband is also a Spanish teacher and after the AP Spanish test he hosts a 🥘 Paella Fest! Students bring traditional Spanish tapas and enjoy in field day type activities during the block period. Best day of the year for both teacher and students ♥️

Feeling THANKFUL for a wonderful 4 days of learning 💫 So many fresh and refreshed ideas in the sessions offered! Isn’t our profession the best? I ♥️ that we can always infuse new ideas and strategies in our classrooms: include music, shorts, gamify lessons, experiment with a new tech platform… the possibilities are endless! New Orleans is just around the corner! 🤸

We were the given the opportunity to take part in a lesson study that included instructional rounds. Our team of 5 teachers and 1 instructional coach decided to focus on ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES. After brainstorming with the team a few weeks back, our lessons were planned! Thursday we rotated to each teachers class for 45 minutes to observe them teaching their lesson. 👩🏼‍🏫 It was so exciting to see strategies being used and not just talk about them! The debrief that followed helped us to reflect on what our wins were and what next steps might look like. 👍 Aside from student teaching, I’m not sure I’ve ever had the chance to request a sub and observe my fellow teachers! Is this something your district does?
