I’m not sure if I’ll be cutting or bulking from here but I’m happy with the numbers today given how erratic the last 14 months have been.

📝 Emily’s magic sauce allowing her to bench impressive weights is her strong arch. This is something you’d wanna bring to perfection if you are looking into maximizing your bench press.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➕The most common fault when it comes to arching in the bench press is an arch at the lumbar spine which usually leads to not having contact to the bench with the butt and besides endangering your lower back won’t lead to the desired stability that we aim to achieve for the lift. A stable and safe arch is achieved at the thoracic spine!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➕ Arching is deeply connected with leg drive: pushing the legs down will send the butt into the air, and usually leads to the just discussed lumbar spine arch whereas utilizing leg drive to “push the lower body towards the upper body” helps us achieve a good thoracic arch.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Everyone is posting their post photos for so here’s a pic of my from ‘s meet last year. It was my smallest and easiest weight cut in years yet somehow my abs looked the awesomest despite being fluffier than normal. Oh to be shredded with agains 😭😭😭
