Join us at Bundy Triangle Park on Saturday, May 30th at 6pm to celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday with the world premiere of the documentary “Barefoot to Hills,” followed by a special screening of the classic comedy “Some Like It Hot.”

Filmed in Los Angeles and streaming in May:

The new “Spider-Noir” series on Amazon Prime filmed heavily in the production-favorite streets of Downtown LA, but also in San Pedro. San Pedro specific locations include its City Hall, Harbor House, and Fort MacArthur Museum. Additional LA backdrops include Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills and the Neo-Gothic Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Koreatown.

Crime-drama series “Nemesis” on Netflix shot on the streets of Century City, Hollywood, and Downtown LA. Other locations include a warehouse in Vernon and a house in the View Park-Windsor Hills neighborhood. Recognizable LA spots are the famous Griffith Park and Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Several LAUSD campuses were used for production, including Helen Bernstein High School.

‘Prison Break’ Reboot to Shoot in L.A. After Nabbing Nearly $19 Million in Tax Credits (Exclusive) Filming will begin at the historic Radford Studio Center lot in June. Shooting in the region saw a meaningful increase in shoot days to start the year, though TV production is down.

Filmed in Los Angeles and premiering in May:

The first Star Wars movie filmed entirely in California and a recipient of the state’s Film & TV Tax Credit, “The Mandalorian and Grogu” employed 500+ cast and crew plus a staggering 3,500 extras. Los Angeles area filming locations include Culver City, Downtown LA and MBS Media Campus in Manhattan Beach.

Crime drama film “Diamond” makes its world premiere (out of competition) at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Filming locations include the Orpheum Theater and Original Pantry Café in DTLA, Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery in Altadena, and the Los Angeles Zoo. Production also used the facilities of Riverfront Stages in Atwater Village.


Culver City to Enhance City Film Incentive Program, Effective May 11, 2026 | FilmLA 05/12/2026

FilmLA and the City of Culver City are excited to announce further enhancement to the City’s $500K film incentive program, one that builds on the program’s existing features and will significantly lower the total cost to film on-location in the "Heart of Screenland."

February through April saw FilmLA active across Los Angeles through policy briefings, industry engagement, community outreach, and Earth Day volunteer service. Highlights include the launch of the Low Impact Permit Pilot Program, the quarterly presentation to the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, and DGA’s Diversity Committee event.
