Happy Super Bowl Sunday LVII! Who are you rooting for? The Chiefs or the Eagles?

Beyond the excitement of the game and seeing Rihanna’s haft-time show, we’re thrilled that this year is the greenest Super Bowl yet with the NFL’s ongoing sustainability initiatives!

The NFL has partnered with locals in Arizona to create an event with 92% waste diversion, with a focus on waste: What can be recycled, what can be composted, and what has to go to the landfill.

In addition 500 trees have been planted across Arizona through 6 planting projects and a further 6 coming up, to support Phoenix’s goal of becoming a 25% shade canopy.

It looks like the Eagles aren’t the only green thing at this year’s Super Bowl! Let’s go! 💚

On January 10, 2023, our very dear friend, , left this world peacefully and surrounded by a close circle of family and friends. Tatjana has been a longtime friend and spokesperson for Return to Freedom and America’s wild horses and b***os.

One of the original “Supermodels”, her love extended to all creatures great and small, but horses held a very special place in her heart. Tatjana was a lifelong equestrian, and faithfully cared for her beloved Andalusians.

“One of my dearest and most compassionate friends, Tatjana’s wit and humor made me laugh out loud. I will miss her, but I will treasure our friendship forever”, said Neda DeMayo, RTF Founder and President.

To celebrate her life and legacy, Return to Freedom has set up the Tatjana Patitz Legacy Fund Donations to the Fund will help support Return to Freedom's wild horse and b***o conservation work, educational activities and events and provide for the over 450 wild horses and b***os living at our sanctuary.
