Ep 33 - Katie Manglis - She Never Said I Love You
What's more important-- saying I love you or showing it through our actions? In this episode we take a look at that. We're telling stories and having meaningful conversations about whatever they bring up. Our guest is Katie Manglis. After her mother died when she was just a baby, her grandmother, Yi...

If you see my posts you know I am rarely without lipstick. My motto " Lotion, Lipstick, Lashes and out the door" I have always assumed that there were oversight agencies making sure what I put on my body, my kids bodies was safe... ya not so much.
Because of this revelation I now advocate for everyone especially those with little ones to know what you are putting on them. I am selling a line called Beauty Counter because of what I have learned. Yes I would love you to come to me and support me and this new venture, but more importantly I want you to take care of yourself so if you want to use cleaner products I will turn you on to better choices and how to decipher the labeling. The words natural, organic, safe have little meaning and are marketing terms.
Go to beautycounter.com/lupemitchell to learn more about my current passion. If you have babies, kids let me know or tag them in the comments, I would like to send you some samples the well being of your little ones is worth the price of postage for me. These are things I wish I knew when my kids were small.

Do you have kids or grandkids in Jr. High or High School? Has their school sent a letter or email home bringing your attention to a new Netfix series, 13 Reasons Why? It is about a teens su***de and I am sure your kids are going to end up hearing about it and watching it. Some schools here in Los Angeles have emailed parents to make them aware and give them some resources about su***de warning signs. I watched it and believe that it is a must see for parents. It is very important to connect with the reality and challenges that your kids are experiencing. I will be posting the 13 reasons why I think you should watch it in a post tomorrow. I would appreciate your thoughts. LIKE my Facebook Stacking Successes parenting page to join the conversation. https://www.facebook.com/stackingsuccesses/

True transformation takes time. As a life coach I know, no matter how good I am at what I do or how much I care, I can not do the work of getting someone to shift their life in a positive direction for them. It takes more than knowledge, perspective and time, to begin healing and growing into the life you want to live.
This is my sister, life has tossed her some
F@*$ Up challenges in the last few years. I have been there for her and at times angry and frustrated that I could not speed up her process for her. I am almost in tears because she has turned a corner and stepped into the light of what is possible in this life of hers. She would talk the talk, but now she is walking the walk. That's the difference to live the life you envision.

Parenting is so tricky; looking back there are plenty of "if only I would've, could've, should've"s. I've always tended to be naturally empathetic, and I'm grateful to see it's been passed on to my three children. All three, including my two boys, exhibit an empathetic kindness that blows me away. I do believe having empathy is empowering, imperative to the ability to be a true leader.
Parents, let's empower our little dudes - teach them empathy as part of connecting them to their true strength!
Why It’s Imperative to Teach Empathy to Boys
We need to cultivate empathy in all children, but gender stereotypes -- often reinforced in playrooms -- risk leaving boys, in particular, with a...

This is right in line with our coaching approach! I know it has worked in my marriage. And although I haven't tried the P.S. part (yet) remember, adding humor to most situations can go a long way toward shifting the situation in a positive direction. :)
Go To Bed Angry
There is no better way for a couple to show their commitment to one another than to go to bed angry. Sounds counterintuitive, doesn't it? In fact, the most common piece of advice most couples hear ...
