🎥 🌎 Our partners at MyHero Project co-hosted a video production workshop to give students pointers and tips on how to film short environmental videos. This video guides students' story ideas in pre-production, gives at-home filming tips for production, and gives ideas on the many ways they can edit their film in post-production. Hello, Southern California and Louisiana high school students! ✍️🎥 📝 You are invited to an 826LA GreenShorts Screenwriting Workshop! Part 1 will take place Saturday, February 27 from 11am -1 pm PT, and Part 2 will take place Sunday, February 28 from 11am - 1pm PT. We encourage you to attend both Saturday and Sunday, but Part 2 on Sunday is optional.
Workshop leader, screenwriter, and teacher Yásaman Madadi will teach about the basic components of screenwriting for a documentary or narrative short film. Upon completion of parts 1 and 2, you will create a completed fiction or non-fiction script.

📱 🎥 Use all the resources at your disposal! That includes TikTok! Shoot, add effects, add transitions and create to your heart’s content. Then, edit up to three 60-second clips together using your phone or other editing software. We cannot wait to see your environmental films! Be sure to submit by April 23, 2021!!
Also, stay tuned! We’ll announce a writing workshop and a producing workshop designed to help you film at home and/or at a social distance!
