To my friends and family: many of us have been affected or know someone who has been affected by the recent wildfires. My heart aches. Feeling helpless and unsure of what to do, I crocheted and prayed. Though we are taught to be grateful that if we are alive, the rest is just "stuff". That it doesn't matter. I cant imagine that's how it feels to someone who lost everything. I think of all the gifts I've made over the years. All the blankets I have crocheted for people. The time and love put into those gifts. No amount of insurance can replace that. I look around my own home at the paintings my son has given me, the pottery from my goddaughter and the drawings from my granddaughters. You can't replace those moments. I cant replace those moments for people either. I am however offering anything I have in my homemade stash to anyone you know in need. I have crocheted baby clothes, doll clothes, cards and blankets.... here's a sampling of what I currently have on hand for blankets. Blankets range in size from baby or lap blanket to afghans. Just contact me if you want anything, and I'll keep crocheting and praying.

I recently was asked to make a speciality card for my friend. A colleague of hers is allergic to shrimp, however decided to test that by eating shrimp. She is in fact still very allergic to shrimp. My friend wanted a card to give her, highlighting not to eat shrimp again. I didn't take better pictures because I wasn't thinking about sharing it. So here it is, the inside said "I might Krill you". Do you need a speciality card? I'd love the challenge! Just ask....

Are you looking for a gift? Teacher appreciation week is May 8th - May 12th. I have what your looking for. I have 2 styles of tablet covers. Both come with a matching pen and an 8" x 5" paper tablet.

In the notebook style, the tablet is removable and can be replaced when pages are used up ($10 each). The flip top style the tablets are not refillable ($6 each).

The covers are made with quality cardstock. Pick-up or local delivery can be arranged. For shipping, cost will be a little higher. The pictures give samples of some that are finished and some samples of what can be done. I can personalize the front with a printed tag. I can also personalize the theme (well, most themes), sunflowers, pigs, Mickey Mouse, cooking, gardening, etc….

You have no need for teacher appreciation… other ideas, Mother's Day is May 13th, April 19th Administrative Professionals Day, April 27th take your sons and daughters to work day, May 1 School Principal's Day.
