I’m in crunch time putting the finishing touches on this year’s videos for the LLS Los Angeles Visionaries of the Year Grand Finale but wanted to hit pause to reflect & give you all an opportunity to contribute. My friend Stephen is one of many candidates raising funds this year. He, Mary, & Emily (all pictured here with me) are also cancer survivors. We know how devastating a diagnosis can be. To paraphrase Stephen’s own words (from this video I’m still editing)… We survivors are here so we can help look out for the next wave of cancer patients. While no one ever wants to hear the words “You have cancer,” I’m so grateful for the community I’ve found & the friendships forged & if we can do anything to make things easier for those diagnosed today & in the future we’re here for it.
DONATE TODAY! The campaign ends at noon PST on Saturday June, 3. Every dollar counts. LINK IN BIO (to Emily’s fundraising page - she’s on Stephen’s team & is my gf & is sooo close to her goal $10k!)

As comes to an end we wanted to share our work from this spring with for their 2022 Visionaries of the Year fundraising campaign. This was our third year producing videos for the campaign & it was incredibly satisfying to finally screen them in front of a live audience in this exquisite room at . We only hope our videos were remotely befitting of this grand space & the magnificent group of candidates, team members, volunteers & staff who raised over $1.3 million for research, patient support, & advocacy.
Stay tuned the next two days for our videos!

Bone marrow transplants can be lifesaving for patients—if they can find a match. But patients’ odds may depend on their racial/ethnic background.
Today, advocates in California are rallying together to ask their lawmakers to support Charlie’s Law (AB1800) to increase the diversity of the marrow registry.

We’re proud to have produced two videos for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Visionaries of the Year fundraising campaign here in Los Angeles. Our past two years of content for the Man & Woman of the Year campaign were presented in virtual form but this Sunday evening we will be gathering together for an in-person event & screening our productions for a live audience! The prospect of watching our work with a crowd is both exciting & nerve racking but most of all we’re just honored to have had the opportunity once again to work with to highlight another candidate class of top notch humans raising crucial funding for & fighting for a future without cancer.
If you’d like to watch a live stream of the event or bid on silent auction items you can register here: https://e.givesmart.com/events/qOf/signUp/
