We are Tutors for Actors -- academic tutors to help young entertainers succeed in school, homeschool, or on set, while pursuing their important careers! Many of our tutors are actors themselves, so they not only understand how hectic your schedules can be, but they are also great with helping rehearse scripts for auditions and jobs. They also provide an excellent source of support for dealing with this tough business - they know what you and your child are going through! You can be mutually flexible with scheduling -- sometimes you get last minute auditions, (we know!) and sometimes the tutor does. (We have tutors who are non-actors as well). All of our tutors will be sensitive to your specific needs and will bring their expertise in whichever subjects you hire them for. Often you will notice added benefits from tutoring, such as raised self-esteem, enjoyment of academic work, new goals and strengthened communication skills.

Subjects include General Studies, Test Preparation (ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, COOP, ERB Standardized testing, etc.), Math, English, French, Spanish, Science, History, Art, Computers, and Acting.

They will meet at your location of choice, such as your own home or library, or can be on-set guardians if you'd like your child taken to and from set and tutored during their day. (This is in addition to the studio teachers who supervise on set.) We also have Studio Teachers, both union and non, on our roster if your production is in need of one.

All of our tutors have gone through personal interviews to ensure that each is a great fit for your family. We are extremely selective - our tutors are motivated and eager to help clients of any age to reach their goals and feel great about the process.
