A little late on the happy New Years post (let’s face it social media is not my jam) but I wanted to wish everyone a healthy and positive 2021! This year may not be off to the best start but that doesn’t mean it can’t get better.

When it comes to sleep 💤 there is always room for improvement no matter the age. I work with prenatal mamas all the way through elementary school aged children so it is never too late to get great sleep.

Stay tuned for tips and tricks to get your little ones sleeping well at night.

I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during these unprecedented times. My girls have a hard time understanding what is truly going on and I know they are taking a lot of it in. While we are staying home we are doing our best to take advantage of extra family time to instill happy memories - but there is a lot of screen time! My girls are 3.5 and 5 so I am lucky they can attend to the screen for long periods of time. What has helped is maintaining a consistent schedule and setting up expectations.

Now really can be a great time to take advantage of implementing a consistent schedule and spending time helping your littles sleep. Tomorrow we are having an etiquette day because table manners need some work. 🤣
While I’d love to offer my services for free, I am a small business and need to continue to support my family and those we employ. But I can offer a reduced price during these crazy times. So if you’ve been thinking about it (or want a gift card for the future), I am here and ready to support you! Use code COVID19 at checkout on my website or mention during our complimentary discovery call.

But don’t worry this is the easy one! Most kids (and adults) can go with the flow and jump on the new time Sunday. If you know you have a child that struggles with changes, then start the spring ahead now, about 15 minutes a day until you reach the new time.

My youngest told me a secret today - she can’t wait for the weekend! 😂👏🏼 Me too baby girl, me too.

She also told me she was going to sleep in and “never take her pajamas off.” We are finally at a place where the girls can go to bed late on the weekends and it doesn’t effect the next day too much. Sleeping in does not happen for this nugget but any wake up past 6:30am is a win for her. She’s been needing extra snuggles and kisses at bedtime lately and I’ll happily give them because I know one day she’ll stop asking.

What fun plans does everyone have this weekend??

Did you know that it’s normal and developmentally appropriate for a baby to wake up in the middle of the night?

This has ALWAYS been the case, since the beginning of mankind.

Now that we live in a culture where independence is highly valued, it is difficult to see the true needs of our babies, and to value their development and growth.

We are ready for summer in this house! I cannot wait for warm weather and most importantly for flu season to be over. It’s not possible to get the flu 3 times right?!? We can be done now right? 🤞

All of our sleep patterns have been off because everyone is just more tired when they’re sick. So we go to bed early but keep the bedtime routine, and I’ve let them sleep in. Now that they’re feeling good they’re up early again, but as long as they’re healthy I’ll take it!

It is so important to establish a consistent wake up time and bedtime each day if you’re looking to improve your child’s sleep. Naps may look different each day so make sure to wake your child from their last nap with enough wake time before bed.

Helping parents and babies get more sleep became my passion when I became a mom as I know first hand what it is like to be sleep deprived with a newborn and what it's like on the other side when you start sleeping again. I want to get parents sleeping quicker than what they may do on their own and that's why I do what I do.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
