VEX IQ Team 10700Z “Fluffy Bunny” wrapped up the 2025–2026 season at VEX Worlds!
This 3-member team—including two rookies—finished 6th in the Division Finals, which is no small feat.
We learned a lot this season, and there’s clearly even more work ahead. The goal for next year? The Dome. 🏆

Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ teams 10700A "Lynx" and 10700Z "Fluffy Bunny" attended the awesome "Fun in the Sun" Signature Event (Middle School Division) in Orlando Florida, January 2nd - 4th, 2026. Team "Lynx" won one of the five technical awards - Create Award - recognizing their unique X-Drive robot design. Team "Fluffy Bunny" won the Teamwork Champions Award - and became one of three teams at the event to qualify to the 2026 VEX Worlds Championship! A fantastic performance by both teams, and a well-deserved final outcome. Please join us in congratulating our teams. We'll see you at VEX Worlds!

Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ Team 10700Z "Spida" just wrapped up the "Rapid Relay" season at the 2025 VEX IQ World Championship in Dallas, Texas. Our team ranked #5 in their Division (Middle School, Design Division), came in 3rd Alliance to Division Finals, and impressed the judges with their presentation of technical knowledge, earning the Amaze Award! This prestigious award recognizes a team that has built a high-scoring, high-quality robot with great programming, design, and performance on the field — and our team absolutely delivered.

These accomplishments place our team in the Top 1% of VEX IQ teams this season! It is their 2nd year competing, and a culminating year for a few of the team members. What a great end to a great season!

Countless hours of problem-solving, testing, teamwork, and innovation led to this incredible achievement, and we couldn’t be more excited for these young engineers. Even more important than the awards and the rankings is the real-world applicable knowledge of mechanical design and engineering concepts these young Great Minds learned from this year-long endeavor.

Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ Team 10700Z "Spida" won the top award - Excellence Award - in the VEX IQ California State Championship (Middle School Division, South Region, March 1st, 2025, Chatsworth, California). Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ Team 10700Z "Spida" won the coveted Excellence Award in the awesome "Fun in the Sun" Signature Event (Dec 18th, 2024, Orlando, Florida). Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ Team 10700Z "Spida" started the season with a double win - Teamwork Champion Award and Robot Skills Champion Award - at the "VEX IQ in the Valley" Qualifying Tournament in North Hills, California, on October 5th, 2024. Congratulations, Team "Spida"!

Great Minds Robotics Team 10700A "Red Fox" won the coveted Design Award in the Innovate Division at the 2024 VEX IQ Middle School World Championship in Dallas, TX. To earn this award, our team had to clearly and correctly explain to judges the engineering design process they followed to build, test, and program their unique X-Drive robot. The award is then given to a team that demonstrates the best engineering design process, based on in-person interviews and the team's engineering notebook. Along with Division Champion Award, the Design Award is the highest honor any team can earn at Division level. This year, there are a grand total of 5 divisions - and therefore 5 total Design Awards earned at the World Championship! Congratulations, team "Red Fox" - you're one of just 5 teams in the World to be recognized so highly for your achievements! Our VEX IQ Team 10700 "Red Fox" won the prestigious Design Award at the Southern California State Championship in Los Angeles, California today. The Design Award is given to the team that demonstrates the best engineering design process, and is able to explain their process to judges via in-person interviews and their engineering notebook. The award is highly recognized by the VEX Robotics competition as one of the most important awards - in fact, the team winning this award is 1 of 4 teams that qualifies to VEX Robotics World Championship out of 34 teams at this event! We are very proud of our team and all they have accomplished this season. Congratulations, team "Red Fox"! Great Minds Robotics VEX IQ Team 10700A "Red Fox" attended the Kalahari Classic Signature Tournament in Sandusky, Ohio. Our team won the Think Award for their programming skills and clear explanation of their code to the judges. Congratulations, team "Red Fox"!
