June 5th marks the anniversary of the 1st official report of the AIDS epidemic in 1981 and commemorates HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day ( )!

Today is more than a day of remembrance. It's a reminder that we ensure that people living with HIV can age with dignity, access quality care, and remain visible in the future of .

In respects to we wanted to highlight the National AIDS Memorial’s award-winning oral history and film series “Surviving Voices," that shares the experiences of those who acquired HIV at birth or as young children and those who acquired the virus before the availability of effective treatment.
