6-years later and YES - I still stand by these words!
You never know the impact that little act can have on others.

I’m back at the HS where I used to teach, but as the “IT Guy” now. And, I hear it regularly from staff & students too: You’re always smiling…

The simple fact is that I choose to smile.

Even though 2025 was not a great year…
I still choose to smile.

Even though there are still challenges in 2026…
I still choose to smile.

Even though at times I feel isolated…
I still choose to smile.

Everyone has life happening…
Why would I add extra negativity by being grumpy?

So, I choose to smile in spite of…
So, I choose to smile because that might be the only positivity someone else experiences that day…
So, I choose to smile because I refuse to give in to what life might throw my way…

I choose to smile because it IS my choice how I react.

Sometimes people speak with all of the confidence that comes from ignorance.

Quick takes and loud opinions are easy.
Understanding takes time.

Not everything is what it looks like at first glance, and headlines don’t tell the whole story.
Before you repeat what you heard, make sure you actually know what you’re talking about.

Don’t build your mindset off clips, trends, or secondhand opinions.
Go to the source.
Do the work.
Ask better questions.

Because, once you really understand something…
You don’t have to shout about it.

Respect goes a long way…
Especially when knowledge is still loading.

Spent the afternoon yesterday in Tampa with my children. We went to watch and support the New Member Presentation for my youngest’s sorority, 🔥

Some people saw an ending.
God saw a resurrection.

What looked like defeat… turned into victory.
What felt final… became a new beginning.

And, Easter isn’t just about what happened then…
It’s about what’s still possible now.

New life.
New direction.
New purpose.

So, whatever season you’re in right now…
Don’t count yourself out.

Your story isn’t over.

He is risen… and because of that, so is hope 🙏🏽💜
