We help private donors support K-12 schools and students by allowing them to target their donations.

VICE PRESIDENT, PHILANTHROPY

INTRODUCTION
Donor Impact is a fundraising start-up based in Los Angeles, CA. Our mission is to improve the lives of students in K-12 public schools by matching needed resources and services with public school children and classrooms. By doing this, we can bridge the gap between private school donations and public school giving.

BACKGROUND
90% of America’s children are educated in our public schools. Current US education rankings indicate that we are falling behind the rest of the world academically. While universities and private schools receive millions of dollars in donations, virtually no public K-12 schools substantially benefit from private funds. We plan to change that trajectory by infusing private donor funding into the public school system.

He/she will work closely with the executive team and board of directors to establish fundraising goals and develop plans to achieve them.

In addition to fundraising, the Vice President for Philanthropy will oversee the organization's marketing and communications efforts to ensure that messaging is consistent and aligned with the organization's mission and values. This individual needs to articulate the mission and vision of the company both for the immediate future and for the long term.
