Santa Monica Mountain Goats We are friendly group of hikers and runners of all ages and abilities. We meet at a different trail every Saturday morning. Please join us! It's free!

We were founded in 1982 and we are one of the oldest trail running groups in Southern California. We are an environment-friendly, non-profit, non-dues running group whose purpose is to enjoy the beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains. We meet at 7:15 am every Saturday during the season, on a different trail. We run/jog/walk for time, not distance. Everyone goes out at their own pace for 60 minutes (more or less), then we all turn and come back. This way, the faster people and the slower people all finish at the same time & place. Nobody is too slow or too fast to participate! Enjoy nature, make new friends, and above all have fun!

SM Trail Running Mountain Goats @ Westridge, Week 10: Gratitude in Motion -

This week, we shift our focus to Gratitude in Motion—not as something we think about at the end of a run, but something we carry with us in every step.

Welcome to Week 9 — a week rooted in connection and joy. As our training builds toward the Christmas race, this is where the miles become more than movement. They become community, celebration, and that quiet reminder that running is something we get to do — not something we must do.
