For years, I’ve taught artists to stop memorizing anatomy and start understanding it.

When you realize that a horse’s front leg is built from the same bones as your own arm...
When you see that a wolf is walking on its fingers...
When you understand that the ribcage is a simple barrel and the shoulder blade floats on muscle instead of being locked to the skeleton...

..drawing animals suddenly becomes logical.

That’s what I’ve poured into this book.

It’s not just pages of anatomy. It’s the way I’ve learned to see after a lifetime of studying wildlife, animating for Disney, and drawing thousands of animals.

My goal isn’t for you to memorize every muscle.

My goal is for you to be able to sit down with a blank sheet of paper and draw an animal from imagination and breath life and character into the drawing, because you understand how that animal is put together.
