Red Boot PR was established in 2009 by our "Big Kahuna," Laura Goldfarb Falls. Her intention was (and is) to approach music public relations with transparency and positivity, and a nurturing, family-like vibe. While our roster has come to include an artist or two on a major label, Red Boot is, at its core, an ally for independent artists. We’re focused on development and strategy, ideal for those
without a big team behind the curtain. In 2014, Examiner.com named us “Best PR For Indie Artists," and in 2016 we received the Best of Venice (California) Award in Media & Entertainment. To date, Laura and the Red Boot team have landed an array of placements in notable publications including Billboard, Paste, NPR, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, BuzzFeed, VICE, Refinery29, Indie Shuffle, Entertainment Tonight, Us Weekly and Relix Magazine, among many others. Red Boot clients have also appeared on The TODAY Show, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Last Call with Carson Daly, Daytrotter, and Jam In The Van. For the last 10+ years, our Big Kahuna has worn many hats in the music industry. She’s been called a music publicist, entrepreneur, podcast producer, journalist, songwriter, social media marketer, artist manager, tour manager, and once, an impromptu human mic stand. Laura has personally advocated for over 200 artists around the world, helping them turn their career goals into reality and encouraging them to dream even bigger. Outside Red Boot, Laura supports industry education and mentorship; she’s been an official speaker and mentor at the SXSW Music Conference and Festival for the past three years, and regularly hosts online group and one-on-one mentor sessions. In 2017, Laura was given the LA Music Critic’s Icon Award.
