Loyola Marymount University's School Psychology Program LMU's School of Education offers a cohorted School Psychology program. Credential in School Psychology.

In three years, you will earn three advanced certifications: Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in School Psychology, California Pupil Personnel Services (P.P.S.) Our rigorous program is accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). You will complete 63 graduate units and engage in 1,700 hours of supervised fieldwork, fulfilling the CCTC requirements for the P.P.S. credential. This authorizes you to serve as a school psychologist in K-12 California public schools. The addition of the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) and Master's degrees increase the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills that you will acquire in the LMU program, and recognizes the depth of professional preparation you will receive.

Our year 2 online and in-person cohorts took part in conducting intakes for families for the Learning Rights Law Center (LRLC) Education Action Day! 🗒️✏️👩‍💼

Intakes are opportunities for parents to receive support regarding a concern they have regarding their child who may be receiving special education services. Students worked with attorneys to gather information and provide an action plan for families!

Moments from Bridging Cohorts 2026! 💙❤️🦁

Our Year 2 & Year 3 students were so excited to welcome in the new Year 1 cohort into the program! Students got to know each other while also receiving advice and encouragement across years and cohorts 😊🌟 Look out for more events and opportunities to build connections with all years in the future!

Our year 2 in-person cohort spent the day at Tichenor’s Superheroes Carnival and Resource Fair this past Saturday! 🦸‍♀️🎪✨🎟️

They had a great time running game booths, connecting with families, and learning about the incredible resources local organizations provide to support children, their families, and the community. They loved serving alongside local organizations and being part of such a fun-filled event!
