Congratulations to the following Pilot Schools for being recognized by National Education Equity Lab.

Research shows that small, thematic schools in low-income communities increase opportunities for students. Congratulations to the following Pilot Schools for meeting and exceeding those expectations.

The Equitable School Performance Office is excited to share the final 2024 data for our network of 39 Pilot Schools. Pilot Schools are comprised of k-12 schools, the majority of which are high schools serving students who live in inner-city communities throughout LAUSD. Our network of autonomous schools is led by the values of Collaboration, Innovation, Autonomy, Equity, and Personalization. The Equitable School Performance Office supports the work of Pilot and Affiliated Charter Schools throughout LAUSD.

This year’s annual conference will be an opportunity to highlight the work of educators serving these unique school models. Together we hope to inspire and learn from one another, share best practices, and continue to achieve student excellence.

DCI is proud to partner with MMED-AEA and the UCLA-LAUSD collaborative, supporting 28 schools in ensuring historically underrepresented students are closely monitored on their path to college and beyond 🎓. For over a decade, this collaboration has leveraged strong relationships 🤝 and academic data 📊 to uplift student success. DCI showcased how Whole Child 2, LAUSD's powerful integrated data platform, helps school leaders easily access and act on a wealth of student data to leave no one behind 💻. Shout out to Coordinator Shana, Specialist Pam, and the Principals already setting up ILT trainings! 🙌

Shoutout to Assistant Principal Kassiri for leading the way! 🙌 During the recent EAPO (Elementary Assistant Principals Organization) meeting, she demonstrated how to create specific student groups in the Whole Child platform, making data-driven support more effective. 🎯💻

We're excited to help schools explore actionable strategies and real-world applications for using data to empower educators and improve student outcomes.

Congratulations to Balboa teacher Mr. Jake Bresher for being an LAUSD champion. As a teacher of one of our Pilot Schools La Mr. Bresher has developed lessons that connect students to real-world experiences making learning engaging and fun.
