When students walk into Mr. Hernandez’s classroom, they know they’re in for a treat. Whether it’s a simulation about the stock market crash or a fake crime scene to build excitement for an upcoming history lesson, he brought US history to life every day as a first year teacher this year. He cares deeply about his students and his colleagues love the passion he brings to work every day. That’s why we were so excited to honor him as this year’s Core Value of the Year award winner at Alliance Levine!

It’s the first day of summer vacation and we already miss the Class of 2026!

We celebrated them alongside their families at our senior awards night a couple weeks ago. Teachers recognized students of the year for each of their classes and students were also given honor cords for leadership roles on campus and honor roll.

Coach De La Torre and the cheer team celebrated their inaugural season last night - reflecting on how far they’ve come, recognizing teammates, and setting a vision for a stronger season next year.

It’s hard to believe this dedicated and talented group of Tigers have only been practicing together for 5 months.

We took our students out to a ball game! Mental breaks go a long way. Can’t wait to see what we do next year for our 9th and 10th graders!

Learning comes to life when you get to connect what you’re learning in the classroom to what’s going on outside. Our Humanities 61 class “People and Their World: the Creative Process” had a chance to do just that last week when they applied their learning during a tour at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
