Today IS IVY DAY – Ivy Day, Shmivy Day. Tbh, I AM NOT HERE FOR IT. I hate how these schools team up to reject 95 % of applicants on the same day. It’s cruel and unnecessary. Nevertheless, my students put themselves through it, because they have worked so hard and are so brave. And if my students are a fair representation of the general public, those applying to Ivy’s tend not only to be amazing students, they are, more importantly, amazing people. People, I have no doubt will soar no matter where they go to school. To all students hoping for answers today, hold your head high, whatever happens. Chances are you are going to land exactly where you are supposed to be in this whole crazy, unfair, opaque game of college admissions. Whatever happens, I’m proud of you for even trying to do something so bold. Don’t EVER stop trying, and don’t EVER stop being BOLD!
