If you want others to love and respect you, you must learn to love and respect yourself.

Do you value yourself?

For most of us, the immediate response would be, "Yes, of course, I do!"

But do you really?

Too many times, without realizing it, you devalue yourself. This is especially true if you are dealing with failed relationships, continuing to work at a job that is unfulfilling and unsatisfying, or trying to live up to the expectations of others and not following your own path.

You might start thinking things like, "What's wrong with me that this person would leave me", "I hate this job, but I am not qualified to do anything else", or "Why can't I live up to this person's standards". You might even begin to say these things aloud to yourself and others, and your subconscious mind takes note of all of it.

Without even realizing it, you become your own worst critic. You begin to devalue yourself and it shows in your appearance and demeanor. And, before you know it, other people devalue you. They think it's ok to disrespect you because you continually disrespect yourself.

I know because I have been there. I have had those thoughts and I have said those words.

But you can put a stop to this, and you can start doing it NOW!

Start by getting up and looking into a mirror. Tell yourself that the person you are looking at is unique, one of a kind, and worthy of love and respect.

If there are people who reject you, it has nothing to do with who you are and everything to do with who they are!

Work each day to become the BEST version of yourself, by taking pride in your appearance, walking with confidence, and finding ways to learn and grow as an individual.

And, if there are still those who fail to see your value, WALK AWAY! Never beg to be a part of a person's life when they cannot see your worth. I promise you will eventually find that you are much better off without these people in your life, and you will be much happier as well.

As I have stated in the past, I am a faith-based Abundant Life Coach.

I use many of the same principles that other Life Coaches use, they just call them by a different name.

They may talk about "changing your mindset", while I talk about "renewing your mind" (Romans 12:2).

They may talk about the "law of attraction", while I speak about the "law of sowing and reaping". (Galatians 6:7).

They will tell you that you "become what you think you are", and I quote "...as he thinketh in his heart, so he is..." (Proverbs 23:7).

We will all tell you that "faith" plays an important part in who you become and how you live life. They may speak of "nature", "the universe", or "Divine Intelligence", but I am not ashamed to say it's "all of God".

During the last several weeks, I have been developing some training materials to combat some of the issues I have listed in the next paragraph. And, very soon, I will be conducting some virtual events to share this information with you. The things I will be sharing are my firsthand experiences and the way I was able to overcome these issues to live a life of peace, joy, and abundance.

My programs are specifically designed for Christians who have trouble living what they say they believe. Christians who are consumed with fear. Christians who are dealing with anger. Christians who cannot forgive themselves, or others, for past mistakes. Christians who want to live an abundant life, but don't know how.

I honestly believe that, as Christians, we can "do all things through Christ" (Philippians 4:13). We just need to put our faith into action and claim the promises God has made to us in His Word.
