Today’s Bible Verse | Proverbs 17:17

“A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”

True friendship reveals itself through steady love, in joyful moments and difficult seasons. This verse reminds us to treasure those who stand beside us and to offer that same faithful love to others.

This week, reach out to someone who may need encouragement. A prayer, a call, or a simple “I’m here for you” can mean more than you know.

In the Ark of the Covenant, God commanded three items be kept: the Ten Commandments, Aaron’s staff, and a gold jar of manna (Hebrews 9:4). We see the manna as a memory of God’s provision. But there’s more.

Manna was designed to last one day. If the Israelites kept it overnight, it rotted and bred worms (Exodus 16:20). It was perishable by design except on two occasions.
The first occasion was the Sabbath. On the sixth day, they gathered a double portion and kept it overnight, and this time it did not rot. “It did not stink, and there were no worms in it” (Exodus 16:24). Tied to God’s rest, the same bread stayed fresh.
The second exception was the Ark. One jar of that perishable manna was placed before God, and it stayed fresh for generations.
See the pattern. Manna decays on its own. But connected to God’s presence, to His rest, the decay stops.
Outside of God’s presence, your resources, your energy, your joy all carry an expiration date. But centered in Him, He preserves what should have rotted.
Your daily bread becomes an eternal supply.

When this page began in April, it started with a quiet hope: that it would help people slow down, look more closely at Scripture, and discover the richness behind the words they read.

Seeing what this community has become leaves us deeply grateful.

Behind every number is a person. Someone who stopped scrolling to reflect. Someone who shared a post with a friend. Someone who asked a question, joined a discussion, or felt encouraged to open the Bible again. That is what matters most to us.

What began as a small effort has grown into a community of people who genuinely desire to know God’s Word more deeply. We are humbled by that and thankful for every person who has chosen to be part of it.
