Find activities celebrating the heritage, history, and culture of our City's Latino community in DCA's annual Latino Heritage Month Calendar and Cultural Guide. The guide also showcases remarkable artwork from established and emerging Latino artists. Download the guide here: culturela.org (link in bio).

Activities begin tonight as we celebrate El Grito de Dolores from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This day marks the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence. For over 80 years, the City of Los Angeles has hosted its own El Grito celebration, bringing out thousands of Angelenos to witness a reenactment of Father Miguel Hidalgo’s historic cry and bell ringing. We’re excited to celebrate El Grito once again with incredible music.

El Grito Los Angeles 2022 will feature musical entertainment on the historic Spring Street Steps of City Hall headlined by Graciela Beltran with performances by local groups including: Los de la Costa Band; “Zavier” Colombian and Mexican Mix; Mariachi Los Aventureros; Luna La Grande; ranchero singer Lupita Fernández; Ballet Folklorico Resplandor Mexicano: and Alison Sánchez, Queen of Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas who will present a short message about fiestas patrias.

Join us and sponsors — Councilmember Gil Cedillo and the Los Angeles City Council; Mayor Eric Garcetti; Comité Mexicano Civico Patriotico; Mexican Consulate; and Spectrum — for a great time at the Los Angeles City Hall Spring Street Steps, 200 North Spring Street. Free!
