💔 The death of a loved one is a difficult experience for anyone, but it can be especially challenging for children who may not understand or be able to express their emotions as well as adults. In this article for PBS Parents, I offer tips on how parents can help their children cope with the loss of a loved one, such as being honest and open with them about death, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to grieve, and offering practical ways for them to honor the memory of the person who has passed. Additionally, parents are encouraged to seek support for themselves so they can be better equipped to help their children through the grieving process.
