One year ago today at 5:52pm you graced us with your presence, River Jo Mac ❤️ It was the most incredible, visceral, and life changing experience of my life and our lives. And we are so grateful for every moment since: The good, the hard, the joyous, the exhausting, ALL of it! Thank you for making us parents and for letting your light shine out into the world, because a world like this needs little ones like you!

In the past 5 years of actively working in nutrition and health this statement has become so incredibly clear to me. When I first started out, I was adamant about getting every certification and listing my school credentials in front of every client in the hopes that would get them to trust me and make their decision to start a no brainer! But instead of getting me more clients, it actually did the opposite! Nobody cared! And to be frank, it made me severely unapproachable.
➡️ All the average person really wants to know is:
✅Is it safe?
✅Does it work?
✅How much does it cost?
The rest is up to you as a professional to deliver on your word. Because GUESS WHAT: there are a ton of people out there who have the exact same credentials as you do. What sets you apart is actually giving a sh** about your client’s results. Nobody wants to feel like they are just another number or another paycheck. I’ve been there a million times before and I would never want someone else to feel that way toward me.

Hey family! I know some of you may have seen this on , but I wanted to post here as well so that I can really go into detail with the people closest to me the incredible initiative we are starting at all of our smoothie bar locations ☺️

We are bringing back our Pay it Forward Initiative to spread the Gift of Health to our Local Heroes! If you all remember, back in 2020 we donated over 500 smoothies to heroes in our area! Fire departments, nurses and doctors, even teachers at our local schools! During these trying times we want to give back to our community like they have given to us. Which is why we are also providing an additional pay it forward opportunity through each donation for schools and churches anywhere in the world! Simply say the name of your church or school when you call and $1 from every smoothie will go toward that church or school! (Maybe have an address handy just so we can make sure we send it to the right place 😜)

What a whirlwind the past 3 years has been! A pandemic, multiple businesses, triumphs, hardships, victories, downfalls, but through all of it my favorite part has been laughing with you!
I know it hasn’t been easy as of late. Our family of 3 is once again a family of 2, challenges continue, life goes on. But amidst it all I have still found so much joy in your arms, by your side, hand in hand, eyes fixed on God and big plans. I know we are meant to make such a large impact and as long as we are together, we can get through anything ❤️

The time is almost here!!! I am SO PROUD of all of my incredible students! 🎉🎉🎉 They have put so much love and effort into the creation of this incredible show! Mad shouts out to our leadership team, Cole Jackson, Cameron Nagin, and Kristen Li (Nagin 😘) for holding down the fort while I was out of commission! We wouldn’t have had a show without you!

Today I am grateful for my life, I am grateful for my husband, I am grateful for my parents, my family, and friends. I am grateful for a God that works miracles even when they aren’t the miracles we want but instead the miracles we need.

After horrible medical care and being told to go home and take Tylenol when I knew in my gut something was much more wrong, I ended up riding into the hospital on an ambulance 7/1/22 and going into emergency surgery that evening. The entire story is too much to write, but I will be sharing everything that happened in the upcoming week because I feel what happened to me could help so many women, no matter what medical situation they end up in, by showing what it means to be a true advocate for yourself. As the saying goes, “the squeakiest wheel gets the most grease.”

In the meantime, have a beautiful Sunday. Be grateful for the little things. You never know what moment will truly be your last, so leave nothing left undone or unsaid if it is centered around love, dreams, and purpose. Life is a damn miracle!
