You can not leave off income when filing your tax return. When you choose to file your tax return you must include all of your taxable income. You can't choose to leave off one w2 and just file the other next year. That information is so inaccurate. You must file an accurate tax return. The IRS already knows about your income they are just waiting on you to submit the return in case you had some income they don't know about and correct your true AGI(Adjusted gross income income)so your income can be taxed properly.

If you leave off income, you may not get caught this year or the next but they definitely will send you a letter saying they adjusted your return. That is the number one flag 🚩for an audit. So let's stop causing a bigger issue that doesn't need to be caused just to get a higher refund or rush and file.

If you owe You must file your tax return by April 15th and pay the debt owed or get on a payment plan or file an extension but you are putting yourself in more debt by not filing because now you owe interest and penalties daily.

And for those who thinkyou have 3 years, You can wait three years to file your tax return if you are due a refund but not if you owe‼️
