My handsome dad, John McCaffrey. He died 35 years ago today and I miss him.

Yesterday, as I was thinking of him and this day, I realized how few of the important people in my life met him. When asked the “if you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead” question, this is my pick and I’d have those important people around to meet him in the hope that their knowledge of him would keep him more alive. ✨

First morning as a 6 year old.

This time is so interesting. You play between being very grown and still just a sweet baby boy. I hear your talk, intonations and inflections and know how you’ll sound at 16, yet your voice, ahhh, your little voice. I still hear my little guy.

Strong and funny, kind and always snuggly. Happy 6th birthday, my sweet boy.
