Hi, I’m Mac 👋🙂
I’m happy to meet you! Please allow me to tell you a bit about myself and my work.
I was born in Bangkok 🇹🇭but raised since childhood in California🇺🇸. Currently, I live in sunny Southern California where I have the privilege of teaching Political Science to students at Chapman University. I’m also a licensed attorney and have been for 20 years. For the past decade, though, I’ve devoted myself to my passion of teaching and mentoring college students, especially those going into the legal field.
🎓I attended the University of California at Davis where I graduated Phi Beta Kappa (national honor society) with a double major in Political Science and Japanese. Later, I received a law degree from the University of Southern California (USC) Law School where I served as an editor on the Southern California Law Review. I also earned graduate degrees from Harvard, where I was a full scholarship recipient, and from UCLA, where I worked as an academic writing instructor, a pre-law mentor, and was a recipient of the Academic Senate’s Distinguished Teaching Award (UCLA’s highest teaching honor).
🍜In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, attending auto shows, and watching college football.
Over the years, I’ve worked successfully with hundreds of college students as a teacher, mentor, and advisor at four different colleges. I’m very much excited to put my experience in academia to help you achieve your higher education goals.
Please reach out to me to see how I can help you!
