Founded in 1978 as a consortium of child care agencies and providers who represented various child care agencies, private family home providers, parents and educators, the group met regularly to exchange information on funding and employment opportunities. Never too young for science!

All CDCLA centers encourage exploration of the natural world through various types of STEM activities and projects. Introduction to science at an early age helps to foster critical thinking, vocabulary, language skills and curiosity.

Picnic!

As the summer approaches it’s the perfect time for a school picnic with friends, family, and staff. CDCLA centers celebrate the end of the school year with all kinds of events. CDCLA prides itself on the relationships they build with parents that help to strengthen their children educational experience. To celebrate the third planet from the sun, CDCLA children take part in planting seeds, learning about the Earth, recycling, and creating projects that reflect the wonder and beauty of the Earth.

Work together Wednesday!

Continuing the week of the young child, children and teachers work together on projects to display in the classroom to welcome parents. Working with other students helps to encourage communication and language development, builds social skills, develop critical thinking and problem solving activites.
