Hey folks, two events coming up this week!

On Monday (October 5) one of our VPs, Colin, is hosting "math club office hours" from 3-5pm pacific. If you want to talk about math, movies, or anything else, stop by!

And then on Thursday (October 8) we're having a general meeting! Come to suggest events for the club, or just to get to know your fellow math students.

Our first mentorship event of the year is starting back up! It will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 4:30-6:30 PM PST.

We pair mentees (generally underclassmen and/or have not taken a 400 level course) with mentors (generally upperclassmen and/or 400 level experience). Mentors will be able to give advice on things like classes/opportunities, answer any questions you may have as you navigate through math, or simply be a friend to better connect you in the math community here at USC! Just let us know what you want out of our program and we will do our best to pair you!

You do not need to sign up in advance to be a mentee, but please sign up through the form below if you would like to be a mentee but cannot make the first meeting:

The USC Math Club and Risk Management Society at USC will be collaborating to host an event introducing students to the SOA actuarial career path! Unlike previous events, this presentation will highlight actuarial work on the health insurance space and will feature Eric Jin, ASA, an associate actuary from Centene Corporation.

This event will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 6-7:30 PM PST. Be sure to show up in business casual attire!
