NEW HORIZONS

We promised another big announcement, so here we go!

Up until this point, we have been a “figure it out as you go” business. We never wanted to take a break for fear of losing momentum. But if we are going to grow sustainably, we need to make sure we do it in the right way. So starting this Monday (6/22), we are taking a few weeks to reset, source new packaging, develop more recipes, work on our website and set ourselves up for a brighter future.

We still have product available all weekend, including some Table 60s and Father’s Day menus. We’ll also share more details with you as the week progresses. In the meantime, we want to thank you for everything you have done for us since we launched this project. What started as a little seedling three months ago has really blossomed into something beautiful - and we are excited to keep growing with all of you.

FATHER’S DAY MENU

Hey team! More newness coming at you tonight, this time in the form of some old school restaurant classics!FOR ONE DAY ONLY (this Sunday 6/21) we will be offering a special, three-course menu by Chefs and for y’all to enjoy with, or in honor of, your loved ones.

Menu is for 2 people, priced at $40 per person, and includes:

1) OG Chicken Parmesan served over rigatoni, with spicy pomodoro, mozzarella, and basil. Can substitute for Eggplant Parm upon request.
2) Large Caesar salad with Calabrian chili-garlic croutons and parmesan crisps. Can also be made vegetarian.
3) Decadent Chocolate Layer Cake with Matcha!

Everything is already cooked (unlike most of our regular menu items) and we are taking preorders through Friday at 5PM. And most importantly, we will be donating 4 pounds of pasta to for every menu sold! Win-win-win-win.

TWICE THE IMPACT

We aren’t finished yet! In addition to Pies For Justice, we are thrilled to be participating in , a virtual bake sale taking place all over the country.

For the first time ever, we are selling our cinnamon rolls PRE-BAKED for $10 per tin, with proceeds from the sale going to . We are proud to unite with F&B professionals nationwide to take a stand against racism, fascism, and the unjust treatment of Black people in America.

PIES FOR JUSTICE

We are super excited to be participating in next week’s PIES FOR JUSTICE event alongside some of LA’s best restaurants and chefs! LA get ready to raise some serious dough for and ! We’ve gathered over 50 incredible local chefs, restaurants and award winning bakers to make 200+ pies and counting! Now is the time we must stand against racial injustice because we believe . We also recognize the importance of JUNETEENTH, which marks the date of June 19th,1865, when Gen. Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas to demand that the last remaining slaves be set free. @ Crafted Kitchen

WE CAN DO MORE

Morning everyone. We’d like to start by saying that that our team remains committed to our partnership with the through our weekly pasta donations, and we still firmly believe that food security is our reason for being. But as we examine our role in building a more just and inclusive future, we believe it is our duty to do more.

To that end, we have decided to donate seven Table 60 meal kits - one for every day this week - and raffle them off for $5 per ticket (LINK FOR RAFFLE TICKETS IN BIO). 100% of raffle ticket sales will be donated to the National Black Food and Justice Alliance () — a coalition of Black-led organizations working towards Black institution building and organizing for food sovereignty, land and justice.

The thing is, we want to make as much of an impact as possible with these, so we have decided to open up our RAFFLE NATIONWIDE, and will pay to overnight ship each kit to anyone in the United States! Please please please spread the word to your friends outside of California.

We will draw the 7 recipients’ names this Thursday, June 11th, and the winners will receive their kits no later than Sunday, June 14th.

Hey everyone. We will keep this as brief as possible out of respect for the many vital and worthy causes that require our immediate, sustained, and collective attentions. Black lives matter and we stand with the movement as we continue to feed our hungry neighbors.

For Volume 3 of the , we are partnering with to bring you ’s pita bread, served alongside a 3-course meal by & , a bottle of wine selected specifically for this menu by our friends , and other surprises (all wrapped up in a Few For All tote bag). As always, 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting the .

We are a business founded on the principle that food security is a basic human right... but so is right to breathe. So is the right to be treated like a human being — with respect and kindness. We are completely enraged and disgusted by the fact that history continues to repeat itself at the expense of BLACK AND BROWN HUMAN LIVES - and we feel honor bound to do something about it.

So the big question for us this week has been, how do we help? How do we channel our good? Money is an obvious tool, but we don’t have a lot of it, and it’s reach often feels intangible. Our platform is another answer, and we will continue to share stories and thoughts we have found helpful and inspiring.

As we sit here and try to contemplate our responsibility to this community, here are some ideas we’ve had to better support. Please let us know if there are other things we can and should be doing. This is completely unchartered territory for us and we will only affect change if we do it together:

1. We continue to fight for universal food security, and pledge to donate 500 pounds of pasta to this week, regardless of how much we sell. It’s not much, but we stand by our commitment and know full well how important this resource is to all people.
2. We’d like to offer any and all protestors free cold brew this week should they need a little boost. DM us for pick up details... we aren’t on the typical trail but we will figure out a way to get you some caffeine if you need it.
3. We would like to offer our time and resources to any bars or restaurants in DTLA whose storefronts have been damaged during these vital protests. We know how much work you’ve put into keeping your businesses afloat, and we’d like to help you pick up the pieces.

We hope and pray for the safety of our community. We love you so much and are here to serve you for as long as we can. Please take care of yourselves and each other.

RAMPING UP

Hey team. How you been? We’ve missed you.

Just wanted to drop y’all a line to let you know how much we love the community we have built together. Life is hard and this country is in a lot of turmoil, but doing this work with you has made it feel a lot easier.

We are ramping up over the next few days, getting ready for lots of new additions to the menu. In the meantime, we are accepting orders via DM or over the phone at 323-602-0095 for this Saturday and beyond.
