Big things are happening at Salem!

While our students have been enjoying the summer, our building committee, teachers, staff and volunteers have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for the 2026-2027 school year. Our building committee is currently putting the final touches on our brand-new addition, while teachers and staff are officially moving into their new rooms and decorating their spaces to make them ready for the first day of school. We cannot wait for everyone to see the new layout and to welcome our students back to campus in just a little over two weeks!

A huge thank you to Deb Huhn for coming to Salem and leading an great CPR and First Aid training session! We had a fantastic turnout of 45 people who are now equipped with life-saving skills. Thank you to everyone who joined us to help make our school and community safer!

Preschool had an amazing in-school field trip today! Valarie from B Town Bubbles came out to Salem to do a show and play. The Pre-K students got to see some cool ways to make bubbles, be in a bubble, and play with bubbles. Fun was had by all, including Mrs. Charlson and Mrs. Aleckson.

Thursday, May 21st at 7pm, you can join us at Salem Lutheran Church in Greenfield to watch our 8th graders graduate and hear our students sing 'Unashamed'. 💙💛

7th and 8th graders went to Ninja Warriors for their field trip today. They were pretty tired by the time they made it back to school.

A fun week of 7th and 8th grade science experiments, 3rd and 4th Grade field trip to the Arboretum, 1st and 2nd at the science museum, and celebrating 1st and 2nd grades' last day of Spanish class with a fiesta! One week left, Sailors!!

We started the day with Chapel, where the handbell choir, led by Mrs. Leerssen , played 'Holy, Holy, Holy.' Also noted, two of the students are 8th graders who are moving on to high school next year! Thank you, students, for your talents used to glorify God.

Mrs. Brandel's 3rd and 4th graders had their pen pal party today. They are given a pen pal at the beginning of the year that they will write to throughout the school year, and then, at the end of the year, their pen pals join them for chapel and stay to play games and talk. The students look forward to this every year!
