Summit School - where childhood still lives!

Our administrative team sprinkled in a little silliness at a recent morning drop off! We love that our campus embraces the joy and fun in these small moments. 🌿

Please join us in wishing Ms. Emily a happy birthday!

A little bit about our 3rd-6th ELAR Guide:
"Emily is on her fourth year as an ELAR teacher and her first year at Summit School. She recently moved to Waco from Columbia, TN with her classroom pet, a leopard gecko named Lady Smilington. Emily has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in English from Colorado State University.

Born and raised in Colorado, Emily developed a love for nature and animals which continued on her adventure to Tennessee, and now Texas. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and visiting as many independent book stores as possible.

Storytelling is a large part of Emily's personal and professional life and she is loves to help learners find their own voice, foster courage to tell their own stories, and develop an appreciation for reading and writing that extends beyond the classroom."
