February is Heart Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to focus on heart health and how we can protect our most vital organ. Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S.? Early detection and prevention can make a big difference, which is where medical assistants (MAs) come in!

MA's play a crucial role in educating patients about the importance of heart health, from promoting regular blood pressure checks to educating on a healthy diet and lifestyle. They’re often the first line of defense in identifying risk factors like high blood pressure, cholesterol, and family history.

This month, let’s continue spreading awareness and encouraging patients to take care of their hearts. 🫀💪
