Please Join the University of Northern Colorado guitar studio for our Spring 2026 "Classical Guitar Ensemble and Studio Concert." The concert will be in Milne Auditorium (inside Kepner Hall 800 17th St. Greeley 80639) at 5:30 pm. This concert will feature both solo and ensemble works.

A few pictures from our great class with Leonela Alejandro last Friday. Very informative and entertaining!

This Friday, February 13th, the Cheyenne Guitar Society and the Guitar studio from the University of Northern Colorado will be hosting a masterclass with Puerto Rican guitarist and 2024 GFA winner Leonela Alejandro. The class will be in the Fine Arts building on the main campus of the Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne (1400 E. College Drive, Cheyenne Wyoming 82007). The class will be held in room 139 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Students can attend for free, the cost for adults will be $10. These classes are a great way to expand your guitar knowledge and skills and to see an amazing artist in person.

Leonela will also be performing a concert at the Laramie County Community College this Saturday, February 14th. Click the link below for information on how to attend.

Tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm in the UNC Campus Commons Performance Hall I will be performing with vocalist Colleen Martinez a set of three songs written by the Mexican Composer Manuel Ponce. Colleen is a wonderful and talented vocalist and these pieces will be part of the recital for her Master of Music (M.M.) degree. This recital is free and open to the public.

Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday season. This year I recorded the song "Do You Hear What I Hear" by Noel Regney and Gloria Shayne. I learned that this piece was written during the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 as a prayer for peace.
