Cast drawings are some of the most challenging and informative projects that compose the program. They are so valuable in the development of, not only accuracy and values, but the patience, resilience and discipline that will be key in the life of the working artist.



A few months ago I had the luck to catch one of John Singer Sargent's cast drawings from his time as a student. It was an amazing to see; the masters being formed, the acknowledgement of their humanity, and the steps that we're so fortunate to follow in our own journey towards mastery.
