Call for participants!!!
Nora Jin-Leyva is a doctoral candidate in Claremont Graduate University and San Diego State University’s Joint Doctoral Program in Education. They are recruiting participants for their dissertation, which focuses on the stories of entry-level, women of color student affairs professionals.

Additional criteria include:
1️⃣ identifying as a woman
2️⃣ holding an entry-level student affairs position in the U.S.
3️⃣ and entering the student affairs field within the last 5 years.

Eligible roles include: academic advisors, student success coordinators, EOP counselors, residential life advisors, student support specialists, career counselors, academic coaches, and similar roles.

💡 Research activities: two 60 minute individual interviews, one 60-90 minute group interview, and one brief reflective journal entry.

Dr. Jarita Greyeyes, a former Associate Vice-President of Indigenous Affairs and current Assistant Professor of Indigenous Studies Department at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada is looking for Indigenous academic leaders who would like to share their experiences leading indigenization efforts at their institution.

The study is looking at the experiences of Indigenous academic leaders who hold senior positions at US universities and Tribal Colleges and Universities as they lead indigenization efforts. Participation involves a series of four interviews and four observations of meetings/events that related to indigenization for a total commitment of approximately 8 hours. The study will take place in a hybrid format including using online video conferencing platforms and/or in-person campus visits.

This study has been reviewed by and received ethics clearance from the McMaster Research Ethics Board ( #7754).
