What a perfect wrap-up to the Life Lab CTE/GT Camp today!
Our 3rd-5th graders celebrated their last day with a bug scavenger hunt, a lesson on egg candling, and a homemade vs. store-bought goldfish cracker baking challenge! 👩‍🍳🥚
We loved seeing so many smiles and happy learners this week. A massive thank you to our amazing FFA volunteers, elementary GT Teachers, and Ms. Schupp for making this camp a huge success!

Who knew Whataburger ketchup could double as a science experiment? Yesterday, our 3rd-5th grade Life Lab campers tested pH levels (and yes, enjoyed some fries along the way!).

Day 2 of Life Lab Camp: Who says elementary schoolers can’t master the art of floral design?

Yesterday, our amazing 3rd through 5th graders at the GT/CTE Camp proved that with the right guidance, creativity has no age limit! Under the wonderful direction of Ms. Schupp and her incredible team of FFA volunteers, these talented students learned the ins and outs of making beautiful floral arrangements.

Today kicked off a fantastic week where Ms. Schupp and her FFA high school leaders are helping with the CTE/GT Life Lab Camp. Everyone had such a great time! Stay tuned for more fun!

Huge shoutout to Mr. Harkrider and the amazing team at Green Guy Recycling!

Our teachers never stop learning -- even in the summer! Yesterday, Ms. Lowden and Ms. Parks had the incredible opportunity to tour the Green Guy Recycling facility and chat about materials. We are so grateful for Mr. Harkrider’s time, expertise, and willingness to help us "think outside the box" on what we need for our upcoming projects!

Community partnerships like this make all the difference. Thank you for supporting our educators and hands-on learning!

Spirit of 1.5 Spotlight ⭐🦁 For our final Spirit of 1.5 Spotlight of the school year, we are excited to celebrate Minerva Puente from BBE, Amanda Lowden from LHS, and Yasmin Casique-Lopez, Nora Gomez, and Monica Espinal-Beltran from ABS!

These outstanding leaders continue to make a lasting impact across our district—from supporting students and staff with care and positivity, to certifying over one hundred students in Shop Safety and Welding, to building community and school spirit through Ballet Folklorico.
