Our teachers are CRUSHING it! Check out the latest IBC Leaderboard for Lockhart ISD CTE.

These educators are helping students earn their CTE Honor Cords by mastering programs of study (graduating with 3 or more classes for 4 or more credits) and passing industry-aligned certifications. From welding to floral design, our students are graduating career-ready!

Congrats to Ms. Castillo, Ms. Lowden, Coach Daley, Ms. Moore, and Ms. Vawters for leading the pack! Honorable Mention to Coach Greene for his 29 ASE Automotive Certifications, Ms. James for her 28 CCMA Certifications and Ms. Schupp for her 28 Floral Certifications. Huge shout out to Mr. Buehner for organizing such an inspiring trip to ProtoTown today!

Our juniors walked away with some incredible insights on engineering and innovation.
Here are the big takeaways for our future creators:
• Stay Curious: Innovation starts with asking "What if?"
• Take Action: If you have an idea, turn it into a project. Thinking is great, but doing is better!
• Be Kind: Build strong relationships. You never know where a good connection will take you.
Thanks, Mr. Buehner, for sparking that creative fire and showing our students what’s possible! 🚀💡

Thank you, ProtoTown for hosting us!

Tonight, we are proud to recognize an outstanding group of Lockhart High School FFA students who represented Lockhart ISD at major stock shows across Texas during the 2025–2026 school year.

These students competed at some of the most prestigious livestock exhibitions and agricultural competitions in the state, including the State Fair of Texas, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, Austin Livestock Show, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Through countless early mornings, late nights, weekends in the barn, and hours dedicated to preparing animals and projects, these students demonstrated tremendous responsibility, perseverance, sportsmanship, and pride in their work.

Their accomplishments included top placements and championships in breeding and market animal shows, participation in highly competitive skillathon contests, and recognition in agricultural mechanics competitions. Together, these students showcased not only their individual talents and work ethic, but also the strength of Lockhart ISD agricultural education and FFA programs.

We are incredibly proud of these Lions for representing Lockhart ISD with excellence and for continuing the proud tradition of FFA success in our community. Their dedication reflects the values of leadership, hard work, service, and commitment that define both FFA and Lockhart ISD.

At this time, we would like to recognize our 2026 FFA Major Stock Show participants and honorees.

Huge congratulations are in order for 20 of our Practicum of Law/911 dedicated students who officially passed their Industry Based Certification for Non-Commissioned Security Officer!

They’ve worked incredibly hard alongside Judge Raymond Deleon to reach this goal, and today they were able to celebrate their success: with a celebratory breakfast and a grape juice toast!

We are so proud of these students for their discipline and commitment to excellence. The industry is lucky to have you!

🍎✨ Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! ✨🍎

This week, we celebrate the heart of our schools, our incredible teachers!

From early mornings to late nights, lesson plans to life lessons, you pour so much into your students each and every day. You don’t just teach subjects…you inspire confidence, spark curiosity, and shape futures.

Your patience, dedication, and passion do not go unnoticed. Because of you, classrooms become safe spaces, challenges turn into growth, and students feel seen, valued, and capable.

Thank you for going above and beyond, for believing in every child, and for making a difference that lasts far beyond the school year.

💛 We appreciate you today and every day!
