We have had so much fun getting out into the school garden at East Side! Students have been loving making observations, harvesting and snacking. A fifth grader said "The garden is so luscious!"

We're leveling up over here!
With our growing produce operation, we needed a tool to help us wash large batches of root veggies straight out of the field.

Check out this stellar root veggie washer - it's going to be a major help for our Fall harvest!!

Huge shoutout to Grindstone Farm for sending over this washing kit. Also, special shoutout to Deep Creek Greens, Sonia Bornemann, and our lovely Montana AgCorps member Averie Wheatley for putting this incredible machine together.

That’s a wrap on another summer of LINKS for Learning! 🌱☀️

This summer, students got their hands dirty learning, tasting, creating, and exploring in the garden. We became garden scientists and poets, learned about the Honorable Harvest, made three sisters tacos and homemade raspberry ice cream, and wrapped up the summer with a student farmers' market at Lincoln School! 🍓🌽🥕 Happy back-to-school week! Thank you to Bill Campbell for these beautiful photos.

Once again, our community came together to make sure local kids were well fed all summer long.

Livingston School District Food Services and the Livingston Food Resource Center did heavy lifting of preparing and serving meals. The City of Livingston helped make the parks welcoming places for families to participate, and Farm to School led a substantial outreach effort to help families know when, where, and how to access meals.

All together 8,758 free healthy meals were served this summer to kids!

We’re proud of the way these partnerships continue to show up for local kids and families.

As SNAP and other federal nutrition supports continue to shift, Summer Meals and school meals remain an important part of our community’s food-security safety net - and strong local partnerships matter more than ever.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this summer a success!
