Regarding yearbooks: we are sorry, but yearbooks can no longer be ordered at this time. The last extra yearbook we had has now been claimed. There will be two more arriving in a few weeks, but unfortunately that is after school is out for the summer. One has been claimed. If you'd like to claim the other one to pick up in August, please comment here and we will hold it until the first week of school.
Please note.... we sent home several notifications back in February and March regarding how to order yearbooks and the deadline. These notifications came by class dojo and here on Facebook, as well as in printed flyers that were posted at all exits to the school building and also sent home in Friday folders over the course of several weeks surrounding Spring Break. If you've purchased school portraits from LifeTouch before, you likely also received several emails from them directly. Additionally, the original March 30th order deadline was extended to April 15th to give parents more time to get those orders in.
Our sincerest apologies if you did not order one in time for this year's shipment. Lifetouch does not offer single prints for late orders. Sorry for any inconvenience, and unfortunately our hands are tied. Thank you for your understanding.

A message from Mrs. Oliver:
We want to share an important update regarding our Apex Fun Run and Field Day originally scheduled for this Friday, May 22nd. After closely monitoring the weather forecast and current field conditions, we have made the decision to postpone both events to Tuesday, May 26th. The schedule will remain the same for Tuesday.
We know how much students, staff, and families look forward to this special day each year, and decisions like this are never easy to make. While we understand that weather forecasts can change, we must make these calls early enough to properly plan and communicate with families and staff. At this time, Friday’s forecast includes temperatures in the low 60s, a cold morning, and a high chance of thunderstorms. In addition, the rain throughout this week has left our fields very muddy, and we are concerned that students would spend much of the day cold, wet, and muddy rather than fully enjoying the experience.
The good news is that Tuesday’s forecast is currently sunny and near 80 degrees. We are also hopeful that the warmer, drier weather expected over the weekend will give our fields time to dry out and provide a much safer and more enjoyable environment for students. If Tuesday changes to inclement weather, we will still hold the event, but modify locations to indoors/black top. We still need volunteers, and want to have families join their children for the festivities.
We truly appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and support as we work to make the best decisions for our school community. Our goal is always to create positive, memorable experiences for students, and we want to do everything we can to ensure they have a fun and successful day together.
Thank you for your partnership and understanding. We are looking forward to celebrating with students on Tuesday!

We're down to the home stretch, friends! Only two weeks left of school and we are sooooo ready for summer. This is the time of year when our tired teacher friends need the most support!
We still have opportunities for parents to volunteer for lunch/recess supervision and field day/fun run activities. Lunch/recess ANY grade level, ANY day is super helpful- the more supervision the better as the weather gets nicer and kids get rowdier on the playground. :)
Plus - the field day events are awesome, and we'll have The Snowy Churro and Colorado Taco Trucks from 12-2pm on May 22nd during the field day/fun run. Come spend time with kiddos and get something yummy!
