Dr. Rydell previously hosted a weekly online radio show, Autism Today with Dr. Pat, on VoiceAmerica Radio that focused on autism spectrum disorder therapy and treatment ideas, tips and strategies for professionals and parents. With more than 40 years of practice (“on the floor”) in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dr. Rydell frequently conducts international and national training, workshops, consultations and program development to government agencies, medical facilities, universities, state associations, school districts, professionals and families. He has served as the lead ASD consultant for many school districts across the U.S. Dr. Rydell provides international LSP certifications and trainings to professionals world-wide, including Argentina, Kazakhstan and China. Sino-US Star Bridge Program, Shanghai, China, and Chinese Children’s Hospital affiliates have adopted the Learning Style Profile approach for their ASD assessment and intervention programs. His doctorate (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) was earned through a National Institute of Health Leadership in Autism grant (1989) and he has a double master’s degree (Southern Illinois University-Carbondale) in speech pathology and special education with a program emphasis in early childhood and autism spectrum disorder.
