On November 13, APSRC welcomed school board members and charter leaders for an evening of learning, connection, and service. The event offered three hours of state required training and featured guest speaker Brian L. Carpenter, who shared valuable insights on effective governance. Attendees also heard exciting news about APSRC securing a 61 million dollar federal CSP grant to help expand access to high quality charter schools in Arkansas.

APSRC Literacy Specialists Annette Neely and Tally Harp had a full house today at our Little Rock office for Classroom Management & Collaborative Learning for Students! 🍎

Educators spent the day sharing ideas and exploring strategies to boost student engagement through cooperative activities and strong classroom management. 🙌 A big thank-you to Mr. James Copeland from Marvell-Elaine High School for joining us and showing how he uses small groups to keep students engaged and learning! 👏

APSRC Hosts Annual Fall Conference — APSRC The Arkansas Public School Resource Center (APSRC) held its annual Fall Conference on October 21, 2025, at the Hot Springs Convention Center, drawing educators, administrators, and education stakeholders from across the state.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS—Congratulations to LISA Academy North Middle-High School seventh through 12th grade Dean of Academics Jaime Garcia, our newest Milken Educator! National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Chief Executive Officer Dr. Joshua Barnett, representing the Milken Family Foundation, and Arkansas Department of Education Secretary Jacob Oliva, presented Garcia with a 2025-26 Arkansas Milken Educator Award and $25,000 at a special all-school assembly in his honor this morning. With a calm presence and data-driven approach, Garcia empowers students and teachers at LISA Academy North Middle-High School to reach new heights. As dean of academics, he mentors educators, builds leadership capacity, and makes math approachable through innovative mentorship and enrichment programs. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Garcia bridges cultures and strengthens family engagement.
