My is very dedicated to not revealing his affiliation. We never know who he supports in elections and he does not push supporting a party, candidate, or bills one way or the other.

Not only does he understand the line for a church to not mix politics, but I genuinely belive that he wants people to focus on

We tell women to “just leave.” 
But we don’t talk enough about what leaving actually means. The most dangerous time for a woman in an abusive relationship is when she tries to leave.
Studies show that 75% of domestic violence–related homicides happen after the victim has left or while she is attempting to leave. 
And 99% of survivors experience increased threats, stalking, or violence in the weeks and months following separation. This is why so many stay. It’s not because they’re weak. It’s because they’re trying to stay alive. Leaving requires planning. Strategy. Support. 
And it requires the world around her to understand that survival is not as simple as walking out the door. If you’re in that place, terrified but ready, know this: you are not alone. 
There are people and resources who can help you plan your exit safely.
