This week’s Team Spotlight is Cheryl! Cheryl is an outpatient dietitian working in the family medical center, employee nutrition, and orthopedics clinic. Cheryl enjoys working with patients to help them overcome nutrition obstacles in unique ways that fit their lifestyle.

The in season produce of the month is peaches! Peaches are the perfect sweet treat on a warm sunny day. Peaches are known for their content in vitamin A, Vitamin C, and fluoride. Check out the image to learn a little more about peaches!

Tip: grill your peaches with a balsamic glaze for a different take on this delicious fruit 🍑

Our Team Spotlight this week is Maggie! Maggie is an Inpatient Registered Dietitian at UAMS who works in Hem Onc and Stem Cell Transplant. Maggie’s favorite thing about being a dietitian is creating lasting relationships and trust with her patients who typically have a longer hospital admission. Thank you for all you do, Maggie! 💜

There’s nothing like a slice of watermelon in the heat of summer, and that’s why watermelon is our July produce of the month! Watermelon is known as a great source of hydration and also contains an excellent source of lycopene.

Tip: pair your watermelon with basil or mint for a sweet, refreshing treat! 🍉
