We had the opportunity to participate in the “Black History Read In” at Stone Mountain Middle School. We were able to go to various classrooms and read aloud about black history. A special thanks to the administration and Mrs. Kimberly Mahone.

We want to recognize our very own Michael Tuma, a Fall ‘07 initiate of Stone Mountain, for his contribution to the Super Bowl 58 halftime show, which featured members of the fraternity. He was one of four members that assisted in coordinating the performance. Great job Nupe!!!

We had the opportunity to celebrate the MACK Founders’ Day with our metro Atlanta chapters.

On yesterday we had the opportunity along with our Kappa League to participate in the Dekalb MLK Jr. parade.

Polemarch Derek Favors and Vice Polemarch Harold Sills delivered toys to ReNew Atlanta on behalf of the Stone Mountain Chapter. The chapter also donated $250 to the organization. Thank you to Chelsea Stevenson of ReNew Atlanta for coordinating and reaching out to us. Thank you to Bro. Mychael Pickens with his efforts of supplying the toys for the donation. It’s our hope that a child who wouldn’t receive a gift would have one on Christmas Day.

Over the weekend we celebrated our 35th chapter anniversary. Our master of ceremony was Bro. Spencer Moore (SM Spr ‘02) current Commissioner of the Georgia department of driver services. Our keynote speaker was Bro. Brian Mock the Southeastern Province Polemarch. We received a congressional proclamation from the US House of Representatives office of Congressman Hank Johnson. We also received a proclamation from Dekalb Commissioner Mereda Johnson for the work we do in the greater Dekalb county areas. This was a great night to celebrate and acknowledge the work we have done over the past 35 years.

This past weekend we served and delivered over 100 meals to the seniors of Friendly Heights. We have been in partnership with the facility for over 15 years.
