Herbs are natural materials, and variation is part of their beauty 🌿
Differences in color, cut, or aroma from one batch to the next can reflect changes in growing conditions, harvest timing, or seasonal variation. This doesn’t mean lower quality, it’s simply nature doing what nature does.
We see these differences as a reminder that our herbs are real plants, not manufactured products.

Powdered herbs are botanicals that have been finely ground into a smooth, concentrated form 🌿
Because they have much more surface area than cut & sifted or whole herbs, powders are often used differently. They are commonly mixed into honey, capsules, food, or other preparations rather than brewed as tea.
They can be convenient and versatile, but they’re also more potent in flavor and aroma and can be messier to work with. For many beginners, loose cut & sifted herbs feel more approachable, while powders are often used with a specific purpose in mind.
Understanding the form of an herb (powdered, cut & sifted, or whole) helps you choose what best fits your routine and comfort level.

Dried herbs don’t last forever, but with proper storage, they can stay vibrant for quite some time 🌿
Most herbs are best enjoyed within 1–2 years, depending on the plant and how it’s stored. Keeping them away from heat, light, air, and moisture helps maintain aroma, flavor, and texture.
Trust your senses—color, scent, and appearance often tell you more than a date ever could. 📆

Proper storage makes all the difference when it comes to keeping herbs fresh, aromatic, and enjoyable to work with 🌿
Herbs are best stored away from light, heat, air, and moisture. A cool, dry space like a pantry or cupboard helps preserve their natural color, aroma, and texture. Airtight containers are ideal, especially glass jars that don’t absorb scent or moisture.
With just a little care, your herbs can stay vibrant and ready for your daily tea rituals and home apothecary projects.

Do I Need Special Tools to Brew Herbal Tea? The short answer? Not at all 🌿
All you really need is hot water, herbs, and a way to strain them. While teapots and infusers can be lovely additions, they’re not requirements.
Herbal tea is meant to be approachable and adaptable—something that fits easily into your daily rhythm, not another thing to overthink in your already busy life. 🫶

Loose leaf herbs or pre-filled tea bags—which is better? 🌿
The answer really comes down to quality, flexibility, and personal preference. Loose leaf herbs are typically made up of larger, more intact pieces of plant material. This allows for better aroma, more nuanced flavor, and the ability to see exactly what’s in your cup. They’re also easy to customize by blending your own combinations, adjusting strength, or reusing herbs for multiple infusions.
Pre-filled tea bags offer convenience, but often contain finer particles or powdered herbs that can lose aroma more quickly and limit how the herbs interact with hot water.
Neither option is “wrong,” but many herbalists prefer loose leaf herbs for their versatility, freshness, and connection to the plant itself.
It’s all about choosing what fits best into your daily tea ritual and you can find both options on our website (link in bio) 🍵

This is one of the most common beginner questions and the answer is refreshingly simple 🌿
A good starting point for most loose leaf herbal teas is about 1–2 teaspoons of dried herbs per cup of hot water. From there, you can adjust based on taste, strength, and personal preference. You may have noticed that we don't include brewing instructions on most of our products and that is by design.
Herbal tea is wonderfully flexible. There’s no single “right” way, just what feels good and enjoyable for you.
