ImmSchools has created a handy checklist of rights and protections and guidance for what schools should be doing to support and advocate for immigrant students and families as the new year begins.

Thanks to all the families who joined us at our last BPAC meeting. It was a total success. We met new families, completed student registrations, answered questions, shared dinner, and enjoyed a wonderful evening together.

Last Saturday we had the wonderful opportunity to attend the 20th Bilingual Parents Summit. During this event, we participated in simultaneous sessions that each of us selected based on our interests, all designed to help us grow as bilingual parents and better support our students.

This summit is open to any bilingual parent who wishes to attend, and it takes place every year. We learned so much, enjoyed cultural activities, and shared plenty of laughter.

We hope more families feel encouraged to join us next year.

El sábado pasado tuvimos la gran oportunidad de asistir a la Vigésima Cumbre para Padres Bilingües. Durante este evento participamos en conferencias simultáneas que cada uno eligió según sus intereses, todas enfocadas en ayudarnos a crecer como padres bilingües y apoyar mejor la formación de nuestros hijos estudiantes.

Esta cumbre está abierta a cualquier padre de familia bilingüe que desee participar y se realiza cada año. Aprendimos muchísimo, disfrutamos de eventos culturales y también compartimos muchas risas.

Esperamos que el próximo año más familias se animen a acompañarnos.
