NNA Director: Madhura is an experienced and extremely passionate dancer. She is a graduate (Prabhakar from Prayag Sangit Samiti and Visharad from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya) in Kathak Classical Dance (Jaipur Gharana). She learnt Kathak Indian Classical Dance from Prabhakar/Visharad Madhumita Ghosh and Padmashri Dr. Roshan Kumari (Legend in Kathak Jaipur Gharana) for 17 plus years, since she was five years old. She has also learnt Salsa, Odissi and Bharatnatyam. Madhura has learnt and performed various folk dances of India such as Ghumar, Bihari, Koli, Bhangda, Lavani, Garba, and Dandiya. Her latest performances include Thumri, Gat Bhaav, Tarana, Chaturang and Kathak fusion with contemporary music. She has performed and choreographed numerous dance/drama shows for various occasions like Festival Celebrations, International corporate events, Film Festivals, Public/Semi private parties and before special dignitaries. Her dance choreography always brings out the best in the dancers and has got a good reputation for selection of music, concept and variety. She has been teaching Kathak since 1994 and preparing students for their Kathak dance theory and practical exams (Gandharva, Prayag or Samved curriculum). She recently held a three day Drama workshop for Adults and Kids separately. She believes that sharing this beautiful art grows you from within and brings you closer to the true happiness. NNA Drama:
Madhura has been doing theater since the age six. She was born with this passion which reflects in her dance performances as well. From kindergarten years, she performed in english plays like Akbar Birbal and later was professionally trained under "Avishkaar" which was run by Sulabha Deshpande under the guidance of Ramnath Tharwal. She performed in numerous plays through Avishkaar, Balbhavan in marathi theater. Later she was at Prithvi theaters for seven plus years where she personally worked with Sanjana Kapoor in hindi theater. She has performed numerous times on television for "Kilbil", "Shalay Chitravani" programs. She did couple of cameo roles in films. She continued marathi and hindi theater throughout and has performed in various professional plays which were running continuously for couple of years. She represented the state of Maharashtra (India) as the children's jury member for the International Film Festival in Delhi (India).
