🦃🏃‍♀️ Check it out! Turkey Trot Training is coming! 🏃‍♂️🍂

Our XC team is hosting a Cross Country Turkey Trot Training Camp for students in K–12th grade who want to get ready for Linton’s annual Turkey Trot!
We are also welcoming adults!

📅 October 27–November 25
🏃 Tuesdays–Thursdays after school
⏰ 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm
💲 $30 per person

Whether you’re looking to improve your running or just want to have fun and get ready for race day, we’d love to have you join us!

📚 Linton-Stockton Athletics Encourages Parent-Teacher Conference Participation

Linton-Stockton Athletics encourages all parents and/or guardians to take part in Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 12, from 4:00–7:00 PM.

As high school and middle school students, grades play an important role in athletic eligibility. Catching a concern early can make a significant difference in helping our student-athletes stay on track and remain eligible to participate and represent their athletic programs in a positive way.

It truly takes a village. Parental support and involvement help our athletes stay focused, provide opportunities to address concerns early, and open important lines of communication between families, teachers, coaches, and school staff.

We encourage our athletic families to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with your student-athlete’s teachers and support their continued success—both in the classroom and in competition.

The 2026 Powderpuff Football game will be held on Wednesday, October, 28th at 7:00PM. Any student who plans to play OR boy who wishes to be a team coach must complete the google form that can be found in the morning announcements.
Permission slips were sent to student emails or one can also be picked up in the office from Mrs. Hayden, Mrs. Breedlove or Mrs. Groomer. Your permission slip AND the google doc
MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN THE END OF SCHOOL ON Monday, October 19th, 2026 along with
your $20 entry fee which includes your team shirt. Your shirt size MUST BE SUBMITTED BY NOON ON OCTOBER 20th. Because it is so close to Halloween this year, we will have a costume theme. If you wish to dress up, you may do so, however your team shirt must remain visible. No masks will be allowed but you can paint your face.

🔥 Player of the Game 🔥
Congratulations to sophomore Ivan Montgomery on earning the Liberty Mutual “Player of the Game,” presented by French Financial Insurance.

A two-way starter for the Miners, Ivan led the team in receiving yards and hauled in an 18-yard touchdown reception. He also made his presence felt on defense with three tipped passes.

Ivan’s impact on both sides of the ball, along with his toughness and relentless effort, helped make a difference on Friday night.

Keep working hard, Ivan! 💪🔥 Your toughness, effort, and big-time plays are making a difference. Keep grinding, keep improving, and keep making an impact!

Linton Athletics is incredibly thankful for his years of commitment to our students and for the love, passion, and dedication he has poured into our track program. His impact has reached far beyond the track.
